Termite management solution – monitoring zone

Termite management solution – monitoring zone and colony elimination

As noted on the chemical treated zone page, when it comes to protecting your home from termite attacks, Precision Pest Control uses two solutions that are ideal for post-construction protection: (1.) the chemical treated zone and (2.) the monitoring zone and colony elimination.

Let’s look now at the monitoring zone and colony elimination.

2. Monitoring zone and colony elimination

As the name implies, a monitoring zone is for detecting the presence of termites rather than immediate treatment and installation of a chemical zone. Our qualified technicians install a series of termite monitors.

Precision Pest Control does this by:

  • Conducting a thorough inspection of your property to identify any possible signs of termite activity, both past and current.
  • Installing monitors – one of our qualified technicians will strategically install a series of unobtrusive termite monitors around the perimeter of your home.
  • Following up with a regular inspection of the monitoring systems for signs of termite activity.
  • Checking and baiting – if termites are detected during the follow-up inspection, the bait system is replenished and monitored, to ensure the elimination of the colony before it reaches your home.
  • After colony elimination, continuing to monitor the area for any further signs of termite activity.
  • Offering annual pest inspections. We recommend conducting annual timber pest inspections on your property.
