How does Altis Termite Reticulation System work?
Altis is a pre-construction termite protection system that is installed underneath and around your home while it is being constructed. The system is made up of a series of pipes that are laid around the perimeter of your home and underneath the concrete slab.
Each pipe is made up of a flexible and durable material that is equipped with a series of filters at different intervals. A long-life liquid termiticide is pumped through the pipes, and the filters distribute the liquid into the soil at intervals along the pipe to allow for an even coverage.
How does Altis Termite Reticulation System protect my home?
The liquid termiticide dispersed into the ground via the filters binds to the soil and prevents termites from entering your home underneath the slab, or through the soil around the perimeter of your home. The termiticide is a repellent as well as a contact poison, so any termites that are not deterred from attempting to enter your home will not survive contact with the chemical barrier.
Altis is a reusable termite protection system
The Altis Termite Reticulation System can be re-used after the life span of the termiticide has expired. Depending on the type of liquid barrier used, the chemical will remain active in the soil for two to five years. Once the chemical is no longer active, the Altis system is equipped with an application nozzle, that allows new chemical to be pumped through the pipes and renew the liquid barrier in the soil.
This allows homeowners in to replenish the termite protection around their home without having to pay for a full termite barrier treatment.
